Ronna S. Parsa, D.O., FAAOS
Dr. Ronna S. Parsa is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at her Manhattan Beach practice, Parsa Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute. As an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, she has worked with athletes of all levels and ages, from weekend warriors to professional competitors. She has had the opportunity to treat elite athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, AVP and NCAA. Through these experiences she has learned that no matter how devastating an injury can be, the care and dedication of a physician can make all the difference.
Dr. Parsa honed her expertise under the mentorship of world-renowned sports surgeon Dr. James Andrews, who instilled in her the values of teamwork, leadership, and effective communication in patient care. Inspired by his mentorship, Dr. Parsa actively supports and educates the next generation of orthopedic surgeons, passing on the same dedication and passion that have defined her career.
A lifelong athlete herself, Dr. Parsa combines her personal experiences and global perspective with her medical expertise to guide her treatment philosophy. She has served as a medical volunteer around the world and continues to advance her knowledge through international presentations, lectures, and publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. Her dedication to innovation also led her to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she contributed to groundbreaking progenitor cell research alongside Dr. Khay-Yong Saw at the Kuala Lumpur Sports Medicine Centre.
Dr. Parsa approaches every patient with the same respect and care she would extend to her own family. She recognizes the critical role of trust and collaboration in achieving optimal outcomes and works closely with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans that empower them to regain their strength, confidence, and quality of life.
